Job summary

The University of Sussex Students' Union is seeking an Advice & Academic Policy Coordinator who will deliver high-quality, confidential advice to students on academic matters and help shape policy across the organisation. You will work with elected officers, course representatives and university colleagues to identify issues and improve practices affecting student outcomes.

You will also support policy proposals, research information for reports, and design training for Course Representatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent, confidential and student-centred advice to students on academic and related issues.
• Identify emerging issues and trends from advice cases and brief elected officers and colleagues accordingly.
• Support elected officers and student representatives in preparing policy proposals, reports and briefings.
• Design and deliver training for Course Representatives and Senior Course Representatives.
• Research and analyse information to produce clear reports and recommendations.
