Job summary

University of the Built Environment is seeking a motivated Student Outreach Officer to widen participation and support inclusive access to higher education. You will design, coordinate and deliver outreach activities that engage learners from diverse backgrounds and help them explore opportunities within the built environment.

In this role you will recruit, train and supervise Student Ambassadors, conduct risk assessments, and use evaluation findings to improve programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating outreach activities for schools/colleges or community groups.
• Experience recruiting/training/supervising student ambassadors.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments for events and activities.
• Ability to analyse data/feedback to improve programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and deliver a range of outreach activities.
• Support recruitment, training, supervision and development of Student Ambassadors.
• Ensure appropriate risk assessments are undertaken for outreach activities.
• Use insight and evaluation findings to inform future programme development and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with schools, colleges, young people or community organisations.
• Experience monitoring activities and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to engage and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
