Job summary

One Sixth Form College is seeking a proactive Student Liaison Officer to join our Welfare Team. The role involves patrolling the site, engaging with staff, students and the public, and providing support, guidance and supervision to maintain positive student behaviour.

Experience or training in First Aid at Work is advantageous, with full training provided. Previous experience in policing or the armed forces would also be beneficial.

Qualifications

• First Aid at Work qualification advantageous but training provided.
• Experience in Police or Armed Forces advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as a duty officer and patrol the site.
• Engage positively with staff, students and the public as required.
• Provide support, guidance and supervision to staff and students.
• Resolve conflicts and promote positive student behaviour.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive Student Liaison Officer to join our growing Welfare Team. The ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable but also organised with a responsible attitude to promoting positive student behaviour. Student Liaisons Officers act as a duty officer service, patrolling the site, engaging positively with staff and students as well as the general public as required. This role provides staff and students with the support, guidance, and supervision they need as well as resolving conflict should it arise. An existing First Aid at Work qualification would be advantageous but full training can be provided. Previous experience of working in the Police or Armed Forces would also be advantageous.
