The role is full-time and permanent, focusing on medical and welfare support, attendance monitoring and administration to safeguard student wellbeing. You will work closely with students, families, school staff and external healthcare professionals to ensure pupils receive appropriate care,

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and respond to medical incidents.
• Support students with medical conditions and healthcare needs.
• Administer and manage medication safely and keep records.
• Develop and review Individual Healthcare Plans with professionals and families.
• Monitor attendance and follow up unexplained absences.
• Liaise with parents, carers and healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate vaccinations and medical appointments.
• Ensure medical needs are considered for trips and visits.
• Advise colleagues on medical and welfare needs.
• Maintain medical supplies and first-aid equipment.
• Keep medical, welfare and attendance records confidential.
