The community nursing service within Hackney has recently been restructured with the values of the Homerton at its core. We provide the community nursing service to our patients within the City of London and Borough of Hackney, with the emphasis on delivering the highest standards of care.
We encourage intuitive, experienced, highly professional community nurses who are motivated to become a Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing to apply.
If you are a nurse registered on Part 1 of the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) register and are committed to continuous professional development (CPD), we invite you to apply for one of our sponsored places that will support you through an academic year of training, at the end of which you will join the growing band of Specialist Community District Nurses.
As a qualified nurse, you can apply for a 12-month full-time course or a 24-month part-time course. A full-time course comprises 52 weeks of study, of which 45 weeks are spent in education and clinical practice in London.
The program commences in September 2025 at London South Bank University.
