Student Community Officer Roles at South Thames College Group
We are offering the following positions:
South Thames Colleges Group seeks Student Community Officers to support our students by promoting good behaviour, community responsibilities, and positive engagement.
You will play a key role in fostering a positive ethos within the college community, including enrichment and holistic Student Services. Your duties include providing an engaging, welcoming onsite presence, signposting enrichment opportunities, promoting positive attitudes and inclusivity, and supporting early intervention for students 'at risk.'
Applicants should have experience working with young people in educational settings and understand issues affecting attendance and behaviour. Knowledge of behaviour management, safeguarding, and child protection policies is essential. You should be able to build positive relationships with students and partners, with strong communication and IT skills, and experience with student records or data management systems.
Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the salary may increase accordingly.

The benefits package includes 27 days of annual leave plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year, 5 wellbeing days, pension scheme contributions, subsidised sports facilities, professional development, and a cycle-to-work scheme. (Pro rata for part-time staff)
Successful candidates will undergo DBS checks, reference checks, online searches, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
