Job summary

Brockenhurst College is seeking a proactive Careers Adviser to join the Careers Department on a full-time, term-time basis. You will provide high-quality information, advice and guidance to students, helping them make informed progression choices and preparing them for UCAS, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.

The role involves running 1-1 and group sessions, supporting progression planning, and contributing to careers events.

Qualifications

• As Careers Adviser you will deliver high-quality information, advice and guidance to students.
• Experience advising young people on progression routes and UCAS applications is essential.
• Good IT literacy and ability to maintain accurate records and action plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 careers interviews and guidance.
• Support UCAS applications and HE progression.
• Assist with CV preparation and apprenticeship opportunities.
• Lead drop-in and group sessions with curriculum teams.
• Help plan and deliver careers events and open evenings.
• Maintain updated careers resources on the College VLE.
• Track and evaluate careers services and engage students in development.
