Job summary

Highlands and Islands Students' Association is seeking a Communications Officer to coordinate and produce media activity emerging from elected Student Officers, SVRs, and Student Groups. You will support campaigns and adapt content for engagement across digital and print platforms.

Working within a small team under the Communications Manager in the Community and Communications Directorate, you will identify compelling stories, develop campaigning strategies, and create media to support student

Qualifications

• Experience in communications or media roles is preferred.
• Ability to craft clear messages for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to coordinate campaigns across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and produce communications and media activity from elected student officers, SVRs, and student groups.
• Develop campaigning strategies and create campaign media to support student objectives.
• Identify stories and press opportunities and adapt content for engagement on various platforms.
• Support daily communications tasks and monitor media coverage for student issues.
• Prepare students for media interviews and public speaking opportunities.
• Travel between campuses for events and coverage when required.
