Harris Federation seeks a dedicated Home Academy Liaison Officer to champion attendance, welfare and inclusion for their students. You will work with families and staff to overcome barriers and support vulnerable pupils to achieve their potential.

The role offers a salary in the range of £26,296–£27,430 for 37.5 hours per week over 41 weeks per year. You will contribute to robust interventions and safeguarding across the academy.

Competenze

• Degree-level qualification (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of behaviour for learning policies in schools.
• Knowledge of the range of barriers to learning that students face.
• Training in child protection and safeguarding procedures.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and willingness to engage in further training

Mansioni

• Overseeing Educational Welfare across the academy.
• Managing a caseload of at-risk students with attendance below 85% and implementing strategies to improve attendance.
• Monitoring and improving attendance of vulnerable students, including Looked after students and those on child protection registers.
• Organising meetings and coordinating with external agencies to address poor attendance.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory duties, including reporting persistent and severe absenteeism.
• Conducting home visits to engage families and address barriers to school attendance.
