Job summary

Harris Lowe Academy Willesden is seeking an experienced Attendance Manager to join our dedicated academy team. You will monitor attendance data, identify patterns and work with students and families to drive improvements in attendance.

The role supports the academy in meeting attendance targets and requires collaboration with welfare, safeguarding and pastoral teams. Salary is £30,192.51 to £32,035.22 (39 weeks, 37.5 hours per week).

Qualifications

• A degree-level qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in a school, academy or educational setting, ideally in attendance.
• Knowledge of attendance policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Experience managing attendance systems, records and reporting.
• Excellent numerical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and external agencies.
• Experience leading attendance interventions and improving outcomes.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to undertake training for first aid.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Attendance Manager to join our dedicated academy team at Harris Lowe Academy Willesden. This role would suit an individual with experience in school-based attendance management who is confident in monitoring attendance data, identifying patterns and trends, working with students and families to improve attendance, and supporting the academy in meeting its attendance targets.

The actual salary for this role will be £30,192.51 - £32,035.22 (39 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week).

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• A degree-level qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working in a school, academy or educational setting, ideally in an attendance-focused role
• Strong knowledge of attendance policies, procedures, attendance codes and statutory requirements
• Experience managing attendance systems, records and reporting, including analysing and presenting attendance data
• Good working knowledge of Management Information Systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience building positive relationships with students, parents, carers and external agencies
• An understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable and disadvantaged young people
• Experience leading attendance interventions and supporting improved attendance outcomes
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working collaboratively with welfare, safeguarding and pastoral teams
• Basic first aid knowledge or a willingness to undertake training
• A proactive, resilient and solution-focused approach, with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally and effectively
