Job summary

Bangor University is seeking an Academic Advice and Welfare Projects Officer to lead the independent academic advice service for students. You will provide impartial guidance, manage a caseload, and develop welfare campaigns in collaboration with university services and external partners.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level or NVQ level 4; you are approachable, organised and student‑focused.
• Willing to lead delivery and development of independent academic advice service.
• Experience interpreting policies and explaining them clearly to others.
• Welsh and English fluency is essential across situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent, impartial academic advice, guidance and casework.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of the academic advice service.
• Coordinate welfare campaigns, projects and activities.
• Develop relationships with university services and external organisations.
