Job summary

Ringway Infrastructure Services in Gloucester is recruiting a Structures Supervisor to oversee highway structures maintenance, including bridges and retaining walls. This hands‑on role combines site and office duties to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to high standards.

You will lead operational teams and subcontractors, plan resources to meet deadlines, monitor safety and quality, and report on progress against the programme and budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within highways, structures or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of structural works (bridges, concrete repairs, inspections).
• Experience managing teams and subcontractors on site.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations and site compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical information.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate structural maintenance and improvement works.
• Manage operational teams and subcontractors to deliver works safely and efficiently.
• Plan and allocate resources to meet programme deadlines.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Carry out site inspections and audits and review RAMS.
