Job summary

JRL Group’s Civil and Structural arm is seeking a Structural & Temporary Works Engineer to support design and on-site delivery on London and South East projects. You will develop permanent works designs from RIBA stage 3/4 and assist site teams with temporary works assessment and construction support.

The role requires Fluent English, strong AutoCAD/Revit skills, experience with RC and steel, and a proactive approach to collaboration with clients, designers and subcontractors across

Qualifications

• Experience in structural and temporary works design is desirable.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and FEM tools.
• Experience with RC and steel design.
• Ability to read engineers' structural drawings.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of permanent works design from RIBA stage 3/4 to handover.
• Support site delivery teams with assessment of structures in the temporary condition, including temporary works design.
• Complete CDP elements such as precast conversion, reinforcement detailing, waterproofing and PT design.
• Complete structural analysis to support conversion design, from traditional RC to PT/precast concrete.
• Complete major and minor temporary works items to support the construction phase.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings to comply with project requirements.
• Efficient use of AutoCAD/Revit to produce high quality drawings.
• Communicate with team members and external designers.
• Liaise with clients, external designers and subcontractors for timely approvals.
• Periodic site inspections to assist site team and ensure correct installation.
• Assist in Document controlling and Project temporary works planning.
