Job summary

J Reddington Ltd, the JRL Group's civil and structural arm, is seeking a Structural & Temporary Works Engineer to advance permanent works design from RIBA stages 3/4 and support on-site temporary works delivery in Borehamwood and the London area. You will use AutoCAD and Revit to produce high-quality drawings, perform structural analyses, and liaise with clients and subcontractors for timely approvals.

Qualifications

• Experience in both structural and temporary works design desirable, but not essential if competent in one area.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of permanent works civil and structural design from RIBA stage 3/4 through to construction and handover.
• Support the site delivery teams with assessment of structures in temporary condition, including temporary works design.
• Complete CDP elements such as precast conversion, reinforcement detailing, waterproofing and PT design.
• Complete structural analysis to support conversion design from RC to PT/precast concrete.
• Complete major and minor temporary works items to support construction such as basement propping, tower crane base design, and core stability checks.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings to project standards and use AutoCAD/Revit effectively.
• Communicate with project teams and external designers; liaise with clients, designers, subcontractors for design approvals.
• Carry out periodic site inspections to ensure correct installation of temporary and permanent structures.
