Job summary

JRL Group Ltd in Borehamwood is seeking a Technical Drafter with a strong grounding in Revit and 3D modelling to support temporary works design on varied projects. You will read engineers' structural drawings and contribute to production, checking drawings and kit lists, while collaborating with site teams and the formwork yard.

The role requires fluent English, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple design tasks, training peers where needed, and ensuring timely

Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in 3D modelling is essential.
• Knowledge of concrete frame construction.
• Ability to read engineers' structural drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Fluent English language skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Temporary works design drafter: production & checking of drawings/kit lists.
• Calloffs/kit lists based on working designs.
• Develop a working knowledge of the equipment JRL owns and uses across our sites.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings to comply with project requirements.
• Assist Design Team and manage internal & external design teams to meet project requirements.
• Assist in training for new & existing drafters where required.
• Project Management support.
• Liaise with sites, project personnel & formwork yard to resolve issues as they arise.
• Manage submission dates in line with project developments.
• Assist in document controlling.
• Site / yard / fabrication interactions.
• Occasional live site & yard visits for training, inspection or planning purposes.
• Visits to determine feasibility of schemes or installation details.
• In-person checking of fabrication work as and when required.

We are looking to recruit a Technical drafter based in Borehamwood.

The Role
