Job Description:

Our client, an independent family-run Structural Engineering consultancy based in Chorley, Lancashire, is seeking a Structural Technician/Engineer to join their team full-time.

The company has a strong reputation with a steady base of repeat clients, working on projects across the Industrial, Commercial, Power, and Attraction sectors.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a consultancy environment, proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with some understanding of engineering calculations. They should be interested in further training to develop into a structural engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hold a minimum of an ONC in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering qualification.
• Experience with Revit in the UK structures environment and at least 5 years in civil and structural engineering firms.
• Modelling existing masonry structures and new RC concrete/steel framed buildings.
• Creating project templates and filters according to in-house standards.
• Producing 3D BIM models to Level 2 Standard as per in-house BIM specifications.
• Good understanding of key structural engineering principles.
• Modelling large-scale and refurbishment projects.

The role offers a salary between £30,000 - £35,000, with benefits, depending on experience. The position is full-time from the office, with free onsite parking. Remuneration can extend up to £45,000 for more experienced candidates, plus 25 days' annual leave and employer pension contributions.
