Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Building Structural Technician to join our Building Engineering team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will produce high‑quality technical drawings, models and documentation while mentoring Apprentice and Trainee Technicians.

Reporting to Senior Technicians you will contribute to successful project delivery with accuracy and efficiency. You will work with internal and external design professionals to coordinate models, perform inspections, and ensure buildability of designs.

Qualifications

• A relevant HND/Degree or minimum of 4 years of experience as a Structural Technician.
• Ability to produce high-quality 2D/3D drawings, models and schedules.
• Understanding of project stages, health and safety implications, and QA procedures.
• Strong collaboration with diverse project teams and stakeholders; mentoring opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D/3D models, drawings, and schedules for projects.
• Mentor Apprentice and Trainee Technicians.
• Coordinate with design professionals and manage documentation control.
• Support engineers with inspections and reporting; apply buildability insights.
