Job summary

Dropp.UK in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join a busy engineering workshop. This role involves fabricating large steel structures and heavy industrial components using engineering drawings, working with structural steel sections and thick plate (10mm - 50mm+).

You will perform MIG/MAG welding as part of the fabrication process and build large steel assemblies, plant equipment and machine frames in a well-established workshop with regular overtime

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication.
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings.
• MIG/MAG welding experience.
• Experience working with thick steel plate.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating structural steel from engineering drawings.
• Working with heavy plate (10mm - 50mm+).
• MIG / MAG welding as part of the fabrication process.
• Building large steel assemblies, plant equipment and machine frames.
• Working with beams, columns and heavy steel sections.
• Using standard fabrication tools and workshop machinery.
