Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti in Warrington is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Structures team within the Applied Science practice. You will manage and deliver projects, provide technical guidance to junior staff, and maintain active client engagement.

The role involves delivering seismic and dynamic analyses, and developing expertise across blast, fatigue, and probabilistic assessments. The ideal candidate is chartered or nearing chartership, holds a relevant master's degree, and is eligible for UK

Qualifications

• Chartered, or nearing chartership, with a strong grasp of engineering principles.
• Masters degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering.
• Seismic engineering and / or dynamic analysis experience.
• Approximately 5-8 years of relevant industrial experience, or less with related PhD.
• Eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
• Experience in the Defence and/or Nuclear sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing and delivering projects, engaging with clients, and providing oversight and support to junior staff.
• Engaging with clients and helping to prepare project proposals as part of the office business development activity.
• Develop specialist structural expertise in seismic analysis, blast and explosion response, fatigue and failure assessment, probabilistic analyses; coding and numerical simulation (FEA/CFD) is advantageous.
