Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Senior Engineer in our Structural Practice in London to take on increasingly complex analysis, design, and detailing assignments across a wide range of building types. You will contribute to projects while mentoring junior staff and engaging with clients to understand scopes and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of structural engineering experience with proficiency in steel, concrete, and timber design.
• Effective communication with proactive workload management and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of structural analysis, design, and detailing tasks of growing complexity.
• Develop and refine construction documents in a BIM environment.
• Collaborate with architects, builders, and engineers across disciplines; communicate needs and assumptions clearly.
• Provide technical guidance and day-to-day support for interns and junior engineers.
• Gain client exposure, scopes, services, and fee structures and build a professional network.
