Morgan Hunt are working with a well established engineering consultancy to recruit a Project Engineer to join their Glasgow office. The consultancy has a strong reputation of delivering technically excellent engineering projects across Scotland.

The work spans a wide range of sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, retail, industrial and, in particular, education. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience applying relevant British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Experience producing structural calculations and technical reports.
• Experience using structural analysis and design software (Tekla, Tedds).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Developing structural engineering designs from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Working on building structures (steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber).
• Preparing structural calculations, specifications, reports and technical information.
• Producing and reviewing drawings and 3D models.
• Collaborating with technicians, engineers, contractors and other design team members.
• Identifying design risks and developing solutions.
• Assisting with site inspections.
• Supporting project delivery to programme, budget and technical standards.
