Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Edinburgh is seeking a Structural Engineer to deliver building structures design across varied projects. You will support from feasibility through construction, applying Eurocode knowledge and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will contribute to sustainable design and client engagement while progressing toward chartership with mentoring and structured development. Hybrid working and broad project exposure are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil or structural engineering required.
• Graduate or Incorporated member of IStructE/ICE or working towards membership.
• Experience designing building structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Familiar with Eurocode and structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects within the Building Structures team.
• Apply and develop engineering knowledge across structural projects.
• Support project delivery from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Contribute to practical, innovative, and sustainable design solutions.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders and contractors.
• Assist in delivering projects within programme and budget requirements.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports and design outputs.
• Attend site visits and design team meetings as required.
• Demonstrate commitment to professional development toward chartership.
