Job summary

AtkinsRéalis are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Edinburgh Building Structures team. You will deliver projects from concept through detailed design and construction, applying engineering knowledge across diverse structural works, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Scotland and the UK.

You will engage with clients and stakeholders, prepare calculations and outputs, and contribute to sustainable design while progressing towards chartership with support from experienced

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduate or Incorporated member of IStructE, ICE or working towards membership.
• Experience designing building structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry with developing Eurocode knowledge.
• Familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, Tedds or similar; Revit experience desirable.

• Deliver projects within the Building Structures team.
• Apply and develop engineering knowledge across structural projects.
• Support project delivery from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Contribute to practical, innovative, and sustainable design solutions.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Assist in delivering projects within programme and budget requirements.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports, and design outputs.
• Attend site visits and design team meetings as required.
