Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Building Structures team in Yorkshire and the Northeast. You will contribute to design and delivery across a diverse client base, embedding innovation, sustainability, ethics and safety into projects from Leeds and Newcastle.

You will work on varied schemes, develop technical expertise, and support collaborative teams while working towards Chartered status and BIM/digital engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduate member of IStructE or ICE.
• Working towards Chartered status or recently Chartered.
• Experience designing with steel, concrete, timber, masonry to Eurocodes.
• Familiar with Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, Revit.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new tools and technologies.
• Interest in digital engineering, automation, and parametric design.
• Strong communication skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver building structures from concept to detailed design.
• Support project delivery and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders on live projects.
• Mentor junior team members and develop technical skills.
• Ensure QA procedures and BIM standards are followed.
• Travel to different offices as required.
