Skilled Careers is seeking a Structural Engineer in Hemel Hempstead to join a well-established consultancy. The role targets candidates with 2-5 years' UK experience and a focus on residential and mixed-use developments.

You will design, calculate and draw structures, interact with clients and design teams, and progress toward Chartership within a supportive, collaborative environment. On-site parking and flexible working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong design capability across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Experience on residential projects is advantageous.
• Good understanding of UK design standards and building regulations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Working towards Chartership or keen to start.
• Ambitious, proactive and eager to develop career.

Responsibilities

• Design structural solutions for residential and mixed-use developments.
• Produce structural calculations, reports and drawings.
• Assist delivery of multiple projects from inception to completion.
• Attend client and design team meetings.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and other consultants.
• Perform site visits and inspections as required.
• Develop technical and project management skills alongside senior engineers.
