Banbury-based engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer with at least four years' experience to join its building structures team. You will contribute to projects from concept through to detailed design and construction, taking responsibility for structural design tasks and delivering high-quality solutions.

You will work within an experienced team, use your knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry and timber, and support junior engineers while progressing toward Chartered status.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least four years' experience in structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of building structures and design principles.
• Experience undertaking structural calculations and producing detailed designs.

Responsabilités

• Undertaking structural design and calculations for a range of building structures.
• Producing detailed structural designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Producing and reviewing structural drawings using relevant design software.
• Coordinating with architects, contractors, clients and other design professionals.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant building regulations, design codes and industry standards.
• Managing your own design workload and contributing to project delivery within deadlines.
• Supporting junior engineers and graduates where appropriate.

Structural Engineer - Building Structures

Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for your next career move? An established engineering consultancy based in Banbury is looking to recruit a talented Structural Engineer with at least four years' experience to join its growing team and work on a varied portfolio of building structures projects.

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will work within an experienced design team on a range of building projects, taking responsibility for structural design tasks and supporting the successful delivery of schemes across various sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• * Undertaking structural design and calculations for a variety of building structures.
• * Working with materials including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• * Preparing detailed structural designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• * Producing and reviewing structural drawings using relevant design software.
• * Coordinating with architects, contractors, clients and other design professionals.
• * Ensuring designs comply with relevant building regulations, design codes and industry standards.
• * Managing your own design workload and contributing to project delivery within agreed deadlines.
• * Supporting junior engineers and graduates where appropriate.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

• * A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• * At least four years' relevant experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
• * Strong technical knowledge of building structures and structural design principles.
• * Experience undertaking structural calculations and producing detailed designs.
• * Familiarity with relevant structural design software and industry standards.
• * Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• * The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider design team.

Experience working on a range of building structures projects and coordinating designs with other disciplines would be particularly beneficial. Progress towards Chartered Engineer status, or a desire to achieve chartership, would also be advantageous.
