Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for your next career move? An established engineering consultancy based in Banbury is looking to recruit a talented Structural Engineer with at least four years’ experience to join its growing team and work on a varied portfolio of building structures projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer who enjoys technical design, problem-solving and working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. You will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, develop your technical expertise and contribute to projects from initial concept through to detailed design and construction.

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will work within an experienced design team on a range of building projects, taking responsibility for structural design tasks and supporting the successful delivery of schemes across various sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking structural design and calculations for a variety of building structures.
• Working with materials including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Preparing detailed structural designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Producing and reviewing structural drawings using relevant design software.
• Coordinating with architects, contractors, clients and other design professionals.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant building regulations, design codes and industry standards.
• Managing your own design workload and contributing to project delivery within agreed deadlines.
• Supporting junior engineers and graduates where appropriate.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least four years’ relevant experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
