Job summary

Morgan Hunt are recruiting a Structural Engineer to join their Building Structures team in Glasgow. This role targets engineers with around two years' post-graduate experience to develop within a well established consultancy.

You will work on residential, commercial and retail projects, supporting design and delivery from concept through to construction. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to all stages of project delivery while

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Experience on building structures projects is essential.
• Proficiency with Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds or Robot Structural Analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and delivery of structural projects from feasibility to construction.
• Conduct structural analysis and design for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber buildings.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports and design specifications.
• Collaborate with Structural Technicians to develop drawings and BIM models.
• Attend design team meetings and site visits as required.
• Ensure designs comply with current UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes and relevant industry standards.
• Manage your workload effectively across multiple projects while meeting programme and quality requirements.
• Continue to develop technical knowledge and work towards professional chartership.
