Job summary

Pertemps Tm is seeking a confident Structural Engineer in Exeter to manage projects and liaise with clients, architects and contractors. The role focuses on building structures across diverse sectors, including eco materials like straw bale, and mentors junior staff toward chartered status.

The position offers a supported route to chartership with professional fees paid, and opportunities to engage in CPD and networking events within a dynamic practice.

Qualifications

• Looking for a Structural Engineer who is comfortable running own projects and liaising with clients.

Responsibilities

• Producing drawings, design calculations, structural reports, surveys and undertaking site visits with occasional visits to the South East.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and architects maintaining and developing relationships.
• Working with traditional materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry as well as eco materials such as straw bale.
• Helping in the development of the team, mentoring junior engineers and technicians while yourself working towards chartered status.
• Attending CPD and industry networking events.
