AZTRUM seeks a Structural Engineer with 3–5 years of experience for a hybrid role in Edinburgh. You will work across buildings, bridges, foundations and industrial structures, applying British Standards and Eurocodes. The role includes site visits, preparing calculations and reports, and supporting business development.

You’ll contribute to tender proposals, collaborate with clients and contractors, and mentor junior engineers while delivering practical design solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of structural design principles.
• Good report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Working towards professional qualification with IStructE or ICE.
• Temporary works experience and mentoring experience would be advantageous but are not essential.

Responsabilités

• Structural design of buildings, bridges, foundations and industrial structures
• Structural inspection, assessment and refurbishment
• Design using British Standards and Eurocodes
• Reinforced concrete and steel design
• Undertaking structural analysis and determining loading
• Preparing calculations, reports, drawings and technical documentation
• Attending site visits and supporting construction projects
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other consultants
• Producing practical and constructable design solutions
• Supporting more junior members of the team where required
