Joining Arup

Structural Engineer – Sheffield

Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach have set us apart for over 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world. At Arup we have opportunities for Structural Engineers, who are looking for technically challenging work on cutting‑edge projects, to join our established Building Engineering team in Sheffield.

Are you passionate about building a more sustainable future? At Arup we work to find solutions for some of the world’s most complex problems – providing expertise across all areas of the built environment from strategic approach and planning to design and engineering. Arup has made a major contribution to the growth and development of Sheffield and Yorkshire since opening our office in 1957. Our office is home to more than 150 engineers, planners, digital experts and technical specialists, supporting the regeneration of the North of England.

We rethink structures to make them more responsive to evolving demands. Locally, we have supported Sheffield City Council with the redevelopment of the Heart of the City retaining existing facades to create residential and commercial spaces; created the award winning atrium at St Georges Heart space and The Diamond at the University of Sheffield; repurposed the listed Canada House to a new music centre; met the complex demands of a new machining facility, one of the most technically advanced in the world; and shaped the popular concert venues Valliant Live (Derby and First Direct (Leeds)).
