Job summary

Arup in Belfast is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our creative team. You will work with a Senior Engineer or Associate and a team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects with technical prowess and creativity.

The role requires experience on diverse structures projects, strong knowledge of engineering practices and standards, and progression toward Chartership. You will manage time, liaise with clients, and contribute to notable building projects.

Qualifications

• Experience on a variety of structures projects and direct client interaction.
• Knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques and Structural design standards.
• Experience in structural design on complex projects, performing analyses and calculations.
• Ability to manage own time, deliver to programme and budget.
• Working towards Chartership with IEI and/or IStructE.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with excellent design, technical, and software skills who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams.

As an Engineer you would work with a Senior Engineer or Associate and a team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects with both technical prowess and creativity.

Is this role right for you?

• Has experience of working on a variety of structures projects and ideally dealing directly with clients.
• Possesses excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures and Structural design standards.
• Has experience in undertaking structural engineering design on complex projects, performing analyses and calculations as appropriate.
• Has ability to manage their own time, ensuring work is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and delivered to programme and budget.
• Is Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Is working towards Chartership with either the Institution of Civil Engineers and/or the Institution of Structural Engineers.
