Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd is recruiting for a Structural Engineer in the Reading outskirts. The role focuses on delivering a wide range of building structures projects—from domestic extensions to larger schemes—while maintaining high-quality design and rigorous calculations.

You will work closely with clients and external parties, taking ownership of detailed design, calculations and inspections, and progressing towards Chartered status where desirable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-graduate UK experience in a consultancy environment.
• Proven experience in building structures design.
• Comfortable working independently on small to medium-sized schemes.

Our client has a long-standing presence in the south of England and their Berkshire office is looking to bring in a structural engineer who has at least 3 years post graduate experience.

Great opportunity for a driven and practical engineer to deliver a wide variety of building structures projects from domestic extensions through to much larger schemes.

Working closely with clients and external parties, you will take on responsibility for details design, calculations and inspections with a strong focus on high-quality design.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• At least 3 years' post-graduate UK experience in a similar consultancy environment
• Proven experience in building structures design
• Comfortable working independently on small to medium-sized schemes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., TEDDS, Tekla, or similar)
• Working towards Chartered status with the IStructE or ICE (desirable)
