Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their Civil & Structural team on a 6-month contract in Motherwell, with hybrid working (2 days in the office). You will deliver structural design solutions across refurbishment and new build projects, taking ownership of design packages and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, strong design capability for steel, concrete and masonry, and experience with Tekla Structural

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering with a structural focus.
• Proven ability to produce and review structural calculations and reports.
• Experience delivering design solutions for steel, concrete and masonry structures.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver on time.

Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their Civil & Structural team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of complex building projects across sectors including power, defence, nuclear, industrial, aviation and public infrastructure.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering structural engineering solutions across refurbishment and new-build projects, taking ownership of design packages and working with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing their own workload and contributing technical expertise across multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and review structural calculations, specifications and technical reports.


• Deliver structural design solutions for steel, concrete and masonry structures.


• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
