Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Structural Engineer in Cardiff to lead technical delivery on a range of award-winning projects. You will prepare calculations, drawings and reports, and coordinate with technicians and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a Chartered engineer (MICE/MIStructE) or nearing Chartership, 5+ years of post-graduate experience, and strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK standards. A salary up to 55,000 is offered along with a profit-share scheme and a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or nearing Chartership.
• Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience within a structural engineering background.
• Experience designing steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards.
• Proficiency with Tekla Structural Designer and TEDDS.
• Good understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead on projects of varying size and complexity
• Prepare structural design calculations, drawings, specifications and reports
• Coordinate designs with technicians and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Attend client meetings and undertake structural surveys
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholders throughout project delivery
• Review and check engineering designs, calculations and drawings
• Supervise and mentor Graduate Engineers within the team
• Assist with commercial and project management activities
• Ensure compliance with current design standards and regulations
