Bimplus is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a leading contractor focused on Education and Healthcare projects. You will design and analyse steel, concrete and timber structures and contribute to delivering high-quality, sustainable construction solutions.

Based in the United Kingdom, the role offers hybrid working with 4 office days and 1 home day. The position provides training towards chartership, a strong project pipeline for the next few years, and a friendly culture within a large

Qualifications

• Qualified degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Experience as Structural Engineer in steel, concrete and timber.
• Knowledge of British standards/Eurocodes.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Job description

Structural Engineer now required to join a leading contractor with a focus on new buildings in the Education, Healthcare space. They are looking for a Structural Engineer who is looking to grow within their company, this is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and play a crucial part in delivering high-quality, sustainable construction solutions.

As a Structural Engineer you will be:

• Designing and analysing structural steel and timber systems
• Carrying out feasibility studies and site inspections, assessing structural integrity
• Collaborating with a range of stakeholders to develop design concepts
• Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and standards
• Performing calculations and simulations to evaluate load-bearing capacities

We are looking for Structural Engineer with:

• Qualified degree level in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Proven experience as a Structural Engineer with expertise primarily in steel concrete and timber structures
• Good knowledge of British standards and/or Eurocodes
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Professional accreditation with IStructE or ICE would be of particular benefit
