Vincera Consulting Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking a Structural Engineer with around 3+ years' building structures experience to join our expanding team.

You will deliver analysis and design across varied projects, and take ownership from concept through to detailed design in a hands-on role. You will work within a supportive, award-winning consultancy, with hybrid working and opportunities to develop toward Chartership while collaborating with BIM teams and other disciplines on education,

Qualifications

• Around 3+ years' structural engineering experience in building structures.
• Experience in the analysis and design of building structures.
• Experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider project team.
• A genuine interest in developing your technical knowledge and career.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design from concept through to detailed design.
• Design structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Work on new-build, refurbishment and alteration projects.
• Carry out structural assessments of existing buildings, including heritage structures.
• Produce clear and accurate reports, specifications and design calculations.
• Work closely with structural technicians and BIM teams.
• Collaborate with other disciplines within the consultancy.
• Take increasing ownership of projects as your experience develops.

The Opportunity

My client is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy with an expanding Structural Design Team in Birmingham.

The team is currently delivering an exciting and diverse portfolio of projects across the UK, including education, healthcare, residential and urban regeneration. Some of their projects over the years, have been highly significant to Birmingham and the wider Midlands region.

They are looking for a Structural Engineer with around 3+ years' building structures design experience to join the team.

This is a hands-on, design-focused role where you'll be able to take ownership of your work, contribute to interesting projects and continue developing your technical skills.

The emphasis is on your development as a Structural Engineer and giving you the support and opportunities to progress your career.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• Around 3+ years' structural engineering experience, with a background in building structures
• Experience in the analysis and design of building structures
• Experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
• A good understanding of the design and delivery of building projects
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider project team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• A genuine interest in developing your technical knowledge and career
