Job summary

Ceto Talent is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our buildings team in Birmingham on a hybrid basis, delivering education, aviation and defence projects. You will lead design from concept to detail and mentor junior engineers.

The ideal candidate is Chartered or working towards it, has consultancy experience in building structures, and is skilled in steel design with exposure to concrete and timber. You will build strong client relationships and contribute to project delivery.

Ceto Talent is supporting a growing engineering consultancy seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join an established buildings team delivering projects across the education, aviation and defence sectors.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys leading project delivery, supporting less experienced engineers and building strong client relationships, while continuing to develop their own technical and commercial expertise.

About You

• Chartered Engineer, or working towards achieving Chartered status.
• Consultancy experience delivering building structures projects.
• Strong design experience across steel structures, together with exposure to concrete and timber.
• Ability to lead structural design activities from concept through to detailed design.

The Role

You’ll lead structural engineering projects across a varied buildings portfolio, working closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and efficient engineering solutions.

Alongside your technical responsibilities, you’ll support and mentor developing engineers, contribute to project delivery and help maintain the high standards expected across the wider team.
