Job summary

Arup is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Leeds office within a lively team of engineers, scientists and technicians. You will contribute to Civil Engineering design across the North of the UK and collaborate with clients from government, local authorities and industry.

The role supports 3D design, BIM and digital workflows in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will work on projects from advisory to construction supervision, with opportunities to grow professionally as part of a global

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required with Class 2.1 or above.
• Working towards or achieved a recognised professional qualification.
• Experience in civil engineering field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in sustainable, innovative and digitally enabled engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• General Civil Engineering design.
• Delivering water, utilities or transport related projects.
• Analytical, creative and conceptual thinking to evaluate options and make decisions.
• Using AutoCAD or MicroStation CAD packages with design software (InfoDrainage, HADES, Civils 3D), GIS where relevant.
• Interest in BIM, digital automation and conducting design in a 3D environment.
• Checking the quality and accuracy of own and others' work.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and general office tasks.

The Opportunity

Arup's Civil Engineering team is looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to join our Leeds office to work within a team of about 100 Engineers, Scientists and Technicians who work with others throughout the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Our current projects are varied, exciting and often high profile including the fields of Flood Risk and River Engineering, Water and Wastewater and Sewerage. We work across all phases of projects from advisory, concept, through to detailed design and construction supervision. We deliver projects for a whole host of clients and organisations including government agencies (both national and local), local authorities, private developers, contractors, and utility companies.

We collaborate on projects across the North of United Kingdom, the UK and overseas as part of a wide and diverse global organisation and are therefore able to bring expertise in from far and wide as well as providing support to others around the world.

• General Civil Engineering Design
