Job summary

An exciting opportunity for a Structural Designer with experience in Offshore Engineering to establish a remote consultancy arrangement. This role involves working on crucial marine projects, including Mobile Offshore Drilling Units and Drillships, with flexibility in work location and engaging in structural detailing tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in Offshore / Marine Structural projects.
• Ability to produce GA concept followed by detailed design drawings including materials take-off.
• Experience with 3D software such as SolidWorks would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work on permanent structures and sea fastening design.
• Create GA drawings and detailed design drawings.
• Ensure integrity and safety of offshore constructions.

Are you a skilled 2D AutoCAD Designer with experience in Offshore / Marine Structural projects? We're looking for a talented individual to contribute to exciting projects involving Mobile Offshore Drilling Units, Drillships, Platform Supply Vessels, and various marine vessels operating in the Petrochemical sector.

Role Overview

In this role, you will work on a mix of permanent structures and sea fastening design, creating GA drawings, followed by detailed design drawings that include materials lists. Your work will involve structural detailing such as beams, brackets, welds, flanges, and bolted connections to ensure the integrity and safety of offshore constructions.

Key Requirements

• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD for marine structural projects
• Experience with 3D software such as SolidWorks would be advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with offshore/marine vessels and associated structures
• Ability to produce GA concept followed by detailed design drawings including materials take-off.
• Strong understanding of structural detailing—including beams, brackets, welds, flanges, and bolted connections
• Fully remote consultancy work—must have own licensed AutoCAD software
• Position is outside IR35
