Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor based in Reigate, Surrey, to join a growing family-run business working on highways and civils projects across London and Surrey.

You will manage the commercial side of projects, handle NEC contracts, take-offs, cost estimates, and maintain financial reporting, while mentoring junior colleagues and helping secure new work. Competitive salary £75,000-£90,000 with car allowance and mileage, plus progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience of quantity surveying on civils/highways projects.
• Strong NEC knowledge and contract management experience.

Quantity Surveyor

£75,000 - £90,000 + £450pm Car Allowance + Mileage + Progression

Are you a Quantity Surveyor with civils or highways experience looking to join a growing family-run business? Do you want the opportunity to work on major highways and civil engineering projects while playing a key role in the continued growth of the business? This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established subcontractor working across London and Surrey, with the potential to develop and eventually build your own commercial team. This family-run business specialises in highways, civil engineering and groundworks, delivering rejuvenation and maintenance projects for major clients. With turnover expected to almost double, the business is continuing to expand. In this role, you will manage the commercial side of projects, covering take-offs, NEC contracts, change control, cost management and subcontractor relationships. You will also support junior members of the team and play a key role in securing new projects. With that, the ideal candidate will have Quantity Surveying experience within civils or highways, strong NEC knowledge, and a proactive approach to commercial management. The Person:

• Quantity Surveying experience within civils or highways
• Strong NEC contract experience
• Knowledge of Schedules of Rates and Methods of Measurement
• Proficient in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
• Experience with take-offs and cost management
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Proactive, motivated and commercially aware
