Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Stroke Occupational Therapist Team Lead to provide clinical, operational and professional leadership for the Stroke Therapy Team. You will drive high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation for post-stroke patients and work with multidisciplinary teams to meet national standards and SSNAP targets.

This role leads service development and continuous improvement across pathways.

Qualifications

• Diploma / degree in OT recognised by College of OT.
• HCPC Registered OT.
• Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses.
• Study for a MSc.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, professional and operational leadership to the Stroke Therapy Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based stroke rehabilitation services.
• Lead service transformation and pathway development initiatives, helping to deliver the benefits of recent investment in Stroke Therapies.
• Maintain a specialist clinical caseload, providing expert assessment, treatment and advice for patients with complex stroke rehabilitation needs.
• Support the achievement of national stroke standards and drive improvements in quality, patient outcomes and SSNAP performance.
• Provide supervision, appraisal, mentorship and professional support to therapy staff, students and support workers, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across acute and community services to improve patient flow, facilitate timely discharge and develop integrated stroke pathways.
• Lead on service development, audit, governance and quality improvement activities to ensure safe, effective and patient-centred care.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, professional development and excellence in patient care.
