Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead the Stroke Therapy Team and help shape the future of stroke rehabilitation across the pathway.

As Stroke Occupational Therapy Team Lead, you will provide clinical, operational and professional leadership, maintain a specialist caseload, and drive service development while ensuring SSNAP standards are met, with a focus on learning, collaboration, and flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• Leadership of Stroke Therapy Team to deliver high-quality evidence-based rehabilitation
• Experience in implementing service development and pathway improvements
• Ability to supervise, mentor and support staff and students in a learning culture

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, professional and operational leadership to the Stroke Therapy Team
• Lead service transformation and pathway development initiatives following investment in Stroke Therapies
• Maintain a specialist clinical caseload for complex stroke rehabilitation needs
• Support achievement of national stroke standards and SSNAP performance
• Provide supervision, appraisal, mentorship and professional support to therapy staff and students
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient flow and discharge planning
• Lead on service development, governance and quality improvement activities
