Job summary

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust seeks a Band 3 Therapy Support Worker for the Stroke and Rehabilitation team at Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. You will work with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke and other conditions.

The role involves assisting with mobility, transfers and daily activities, under supervision, and supporting discharge planning and equipment provision

Qualifications

• Experience of working within or alongside physiotherapy and/or occupational therapy.
• Experience in an acute NHS therapy team is desirable.
• Band 3 Therapy Support Worker role in Stroke and Rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver delegated therapy programmes to support patient recovery and independence.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, personal care and functional rehabilitation tasks.
• Monitor and record patient progress and report changes to registered therapists.
• Support discharge planning and equipment provision.
• Contribute to group rehabilitation sessions and therapeutic activities.
