The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Therapy Support Worker for the Stroke and Rehabilitation team, based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. The role involves 37.5 hours per week with a weekend rota and bank holiday commitment.

You will work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitation for stroke patients and other needs. Prior NHS inpatient therapy experience is advantageous.

Competenze

• Evidence of basic education in literacy and numeracy (GCSE A-C equivalent).
• Knowledge and skills to study and work at NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• CPD linked to stroke care and rehabilitation.
• Previous work experience within a Therapy environment.
• Acute NHS inpatient therapy experience at B2 level or above.
• Experience working within Stroke and Rehabilitation.

Mansioni

• Deliver delegated therapy programmes to support patient recovery and independence.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, personal care and functional tasks.
• Monitor and record patient progress; report changes to therapists.
• Support discharge planning and equipment provision.
• Contribute to group rehabilitation sessions and targeted activities.
• Maintain a delegated caseload following discussion with the Therapist.
