The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Higher Therapy Support Worker to join the Stroke and Rehabilitation team based at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

You will work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitation and support patients to regain independence following stroke and illness. The role involves 37.5 hours per week with weekend and bank holiday commitments.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working with physiotherapy and/or occupational therapy in an NHS setting.
• Desirable: experience within an acute NHS therapy team.

Aufgaben

• Deliver delegated therapy programmes to support patient recovery and independence.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, personal care and functional rehabilitation.
• Monitor and record patient progress; report changes to registered therapists.
• Support discharge planning and equipment provision; encourage rehabilitation goals.
• Contribute to group rehabilitation sessions and therapeutic activities.
• Hold responsibility for own delegated caseload after discussion with the Therapist.
