Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join the Stroke & General Rehab Inpatient Unit at Evesham Community Hospital. The post is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and involves working closely with the MDT to meet rehabilitation goals and develop new skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant care qualification or equivalent experience.
• Care Certificate or equivalent qualification to be gained within 12 weeks.
• Willing and able to undertake Safety Intervention training.

Responsabilités

• Assist with admitting patients to the ward and support relatives.
• Carry out delegated nursing care under supervision of qualified staff.
• Provide safe and effective care and support daily living activities.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and rehabilitation goals.
• Support breakfast, meals and hydration; complete relevant paperwork.
• Assist with morning personal care and dressing of patients.
• Mobilise patients using appropriate mobility equipment; liaise with physiotherapy.
• Obtain and report Observations, catheter care, and blood sugar checks.
• Carry out weekly weight checks and maintain mattress and device checks.
• Restock stores daily and maintain ward supplies.
• Assist with toileting and night-time catheter care when required.
• Comply with ward policies and procedures.

English communication

Formation

Vocational qualification level 3 or equivalent (care)

Care Certificate or equivalent within 12 weeks
