As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern. In addition, although the role advertised may have a ‘home’ office base indicated, we remain committed to supporting flexibility around workplace locations. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Community Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation Team as either a Band 3 Therapy Support Worker or Band 4 Technician, depending on skills, experience and competencies. A structured development pathway is available for Band 3 appointees to support progression to Band 4.
Our specialist service provides rehabilitation for adults living with stroke and a wide range of neurological conditions across community settings, including patients’ homes, community hospitals and outpatient clinics. You will join a friendly, supportive multidisciplinary team committed to maximising independence and quality of life.
The role involves delivering rehabilitation programmes delegated by Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, supporting mobility, transfers, daily living activities, exercise programmes and self-management. You will monitor progress, provide feedback to therapists, support carers and work with health, social care and voluntary sector partners to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in a health, social care or rehabilitation setting, excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and a commitment to person-centred care. We offer regular supervision, appraisal, training, leadership development opportunities and support to develop specialist skills in stroke and neurological rehabilitation.
