Job summary

Belcan in Filton, Bristol, is seeking a Senior Engineer to support F&DT and Static Analysis for long-term Defence in-service repair projects. You will assess aircraft metallic and composite structures to customer sizing and interfaces, and help develop repair solutions within a secure, aerospace environment.

The role requires knowledge of Catia/Teamcenter data, aerospace standards, and signatory responsibilities with a 6–12 month pathway.

Qualifications

• Experience in static and Fatigue/Durability analysis and repair evaluation.
• Knowledge of aerospace repair processes and signatory workflows.
• Ability to work under aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support F&DT and Static Analysis for Defence repair projects.
• Assess datasets in Catia/Teamcenter and generate stress sizing data.
• Consider manufacturing and installation processes in design solutions.
• Work toward customer delegated signatory authority within 6–12 months.

Job description

Inside IR35 Contract roles for Static Analysis & F&DT Analysis Stress Engineers.

Defence project for approx 12 months.

37.5 hours with Overtime premiums.

Hybrid working in our office in Filton, Bristol.

Senior Engineer to support F&DT & Static Analysis for long term Defence in Service repair projects.

This is based on repair of aircraft metallic and/or composite structure to customer structural sizing, interface and project requirements.

Toolsets

• IDAT/IMAT analysis tools

Technical Skills

• Capability to assess Data set baseline data in Catia/Team Center
• Understanding of analysis methodologies and processes including legacy dossier assessment and load baselining
• Ability to generate stress sizing data support repair assessment and solutions
• Awareness of manufacturing and installation processes for consideration in design solutions
• Knowledge of Defence related repair processes & procedures
• Higher level engineering knowledge and experience with the aim to achieve customer delegated signatory authority within Aerospace standards within 6-12 months.

Preferred Experience

• Aviation standard signatory delegation for analysis and/or repairs
• Aircraft metallic and/or composite structure analysis/repair solutions with a back ground in static analysis or Fatigue/Durability and Damage Tolerance
