Job summary

Browne Group is seeking a Planner on a 12-month fixed-term contract to coordinate and schedule works for essential utility and infrastructure projects. You will work with operations, supervisors, clients, and customers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to contractual commitments.

Key duties include allocating work, tracking progress, obtaining permits, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires strong organisational skills, effective communication, and proficiency with planning

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling, or coordination roles.
• Experience using Street Manager, Aurora, or similar planning systems.
• Good understanding of street works, traffic management requirements, and utility planning processes.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Previous utilities experience would be advantageous.

We're looking for a Planner to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, playing a vital role in ensuring operational works are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with contractual commitments. As a Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling works to ensure contractual service level agreements are achieved while maximising workforce efficiency. Working closely with operational teams, supervisors, clients, and customers, you will allocate work, monitor progress, manage backlogs, and ensure all required permits and notices are obtained and maintained. You will provide accurate information to field teams, respond to client requests, resolve planning issues, and keep relevant systems updated to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of customer service.
